H-P Story of the Day: Honolulu

“There was a family from American Samoa. Several members of the family all required medical attention that couldn’t be provided back home. So individually, they were all sent here to Tripler Army Medical Center for the attention necessary. Several family members with different ailments all ended up right here at The Fisher House. In a time of need, we all want and desire the love of our family. Well, they were all here to support one another. In fact, there were family members staying on base at a nearby hotel just to be nearby. Vincent and his wife were both here for medical treatment at the ‘pink’ hospital behind them in the photo. She really wanted the hospital in the background so she could remember being here.” –Darrah Ishizaki, Honolulu, HI
